To manage delivery of the short-term procurement strategy ensuring maximum commercial value cross your portfolio and expenditure managed accordingly. Influence both internal and external stakeholders throughout the sourcing process to successfully deliver agreed portfolio plans, whilst ensuring group goals and business needs are met and risks are managed whist maximising commercial advantage. Role Accountabilities Product knowledge: To deliver your portfolio using your product knowledge which is recognised both internally and externally within the value chain and the customer. Procurement Strategy: To deliver the annual procurement strategy across your portfolio ensuring maximised value to Bakkavor and its customer base by ensuring business and customer needs are understood and managed to deliver long term sustainability. Risk Management: Ensure that all areas within your portfolio have a clear and robust risk management plan in place, encompassing all Bakkavor business needs. Risk plans are agreed with the appropriate stakeholders, to ensure full implementation and effective contracting. Crisis Management: To provide support with any necessary crisis management across your portfolio ensuring stakeholders are fully informed and internal teams supported. Commercial: Take ownership for portfolio prices within the group's financial forecasts and track ongoing performance, ensuring the live tracker is updated accordingly. Generate measurable financial and commercial value from the supply base. Supplier Management / KPI's: Develop and own relationships with suppliers ensuring we have performance measures in place which are reviewed regularly. Use these measures to ensure that key suppliers are meeting continuous improvement targets relating to value, quality, service, risk management and innovation. Continuous Improvement: To input into and deliver the Category Improvement Plan (CIP) for your expenditure which is aligned and approved by the relevant stakeholders. Maintain as a live and evolving document holding regular reviews with key stakeholders to drive delivery. Relationships: To be recognised as the portfolio lead for Bakkavor within the value chain, managing and influencing on procurement matters to meet our strategic objectives. Maintain strong relationships across the group and with customers where appropriate, demonstrating effective management in order to deliver category plans and strategy. Technical: To understand the technical risks for your allocated portfolio. Work closely with the Technical function to proactively manage change to products or suppliers in order to deliver sourcing strategies. Responsible sourcing: Provide input into the sourcing strategies and plans taking into account the Bakkavor Responsible Sourcing Policy.
