One of our clients are looking for a Senior QS to assist them in taking commercial lead on various pharmaceutical projects around Oxford. The client needs a self-starter who can take initiative. This is a hybrid role working out of the office 3 days a week with visits to various sites across Oxford around once a week. Set-up: ASAP start 6-month initial contract Office is in Harwell Hybrid role - 3 days minimum in office Outside IR35 Key Responsibilities: Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with the architect and/or the client. Undertake cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work. Assist in establishing a client's requirements and undertake feasibility studies. Perform risk, value management, and cost control. Identify, analyse, and develop responses to commercial risks. Prepare and analyse costings for tenders. Develop, maintain, and update the project risk register, identifying and mitigating commercial risks. Dealing with risk and change management Client wants: Strong mechanical experience essential Experience working for T1 contractors Experience on pharmaceutical projects beneficial or similar industry experience i.e data centres, nuclear Proven experience as Senior QS in live project setting Able to take initiative and ownership of role potentially offering guidance to junior colleagues Strong communication and good organisation skills and time management Please click here to find out more about our Key Information Documents.
