We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Health & Safety professional to join a global manufacturing/distribution business in a newly created role as UK Health & Safety Manager.
This position is due to growth; the business has ambitious plans for expansion and there is huge potential for career development within the organisation. Being a new role, there is great scope for someone to make a mark, implement new ways of working, drive improvements, and be a real driver of Safety culture in the organisation.
Duties include:
* Develop, implement and manage health and safety policies, procedures, and systems
* Ensure compliance with local, national and international standards including OSHA, ISO 45001, ISO 14001
* Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards in the workplace
* Develop and implement action plans to address and mitigate risks
* Lead accident investigations and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences
* Conduct health and safety training for employees at all levels
* Promote and foster a strong safety culture in the business
* Advise management on best practices and improvements for employee health and safety
Prior experience in a similar role is essential, and the ideal candidate will have experience implementing ISO health and safety standards previously.
