Role: Lead Nurse
Hours: Flexible (minimum of 3 days per week ). Full-time and part-time opportunities available working Term-Time plus 1 week.
Working hours: 8am–5.30pm (with potential flexibility)
Salary: Up to £50,208 per annum FTE
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the daily operations of the Medical Centre, including staff management, student care, and medical records.
* Provide first aid and medical support, liaising with parents and external professionals where needed.
* Develop healthcare plans for students with additional needs and support the school’s vaccination and immunisation programmes.
* Coordinate first aid training and ensure policies are up to date.
* Collaborate with pastoral, safeguarding, and inclusion teams to support students’ health and wellbeing.
* Maintain a hygienic, well-equipped medical centre and oversee the provision of first aid kits.
Skills and Experience required
* Registered Nurse with up-to-date NMC qualifications.
* Experience in a similar school or healthcare setting is advantageous.
* Strong communication and organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure.
* Competent IT skills, including databases and spreadsheets.
* Willingness to undertake relevant training (e.g., Child Protection Level 3, First Aid).
