Job Title: Accounts Senior Location: Warrington Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 (dependent on experience) Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent About the Company: An established and growing accountancy practice based in Warrington is seeking an experienced Accounts Senior to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to work with a varied client portfolio, including SMEs and larger businesses, providing high-quality accounting and advisory services. The Role: As an Accounts Senior, you will manage a portfolio of clients, oversee the preparation of financial accounts, and provide business advice. Key Responsibilities: Preparing and reviewing financial statements for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders in accordance with UK GAAP. Preparing management accounts, VAT returns, and tax computations. Reviewing work prepared by junior staff and providing guidance where necessary. Liaising with clients to ensure accurate and timely delivery of services, resolving queries, and providing business advice. Managing a portfolio of clients, acting as the main point of contact, and maintaining strong relationships. Assisting clients with accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage. Supporting the firm’s partners in business development activities and identifying new opportunities for client services. Assisting with year-end audit preparation and providing support during client audits. Monitoring deadlines and ensuring all work is completed on time and within budget. Attending client meetings to discuss financial performance and offer advice on business strategy. Requirements: ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with at least 3 years of experience in an accountancy practice. Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and financial reporting standards. Experience managing a portfolio of clients, including the preparation of accounts and tax returns. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships. Experience in supervising and reviewing the work of junior team members. Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities. A proactive and problem-solving approach to work, with a focus on delivering high-quality service.
