Location: Perth/Dundee Area
Salary: Up to £28K, dependent on experience, plus commission and £6K car allowance

Role Overview
We are looking for a Patient and Practice Relationship Manager to drive patient engagement, build relationships with referring optometrists and healthcare professionals, and enhance the clinic’s visibility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in optics, excellent interpersonal skills, and experience in business development or sales. This role is field-based, requiring regular travel across Northern Scotland to strengthen relationships with opticians and other healthcare providers. A full driving license is essential.
Key Responsibilities
* Business Development & Relationship Management
* Build and maintain strong relationships with optometrists and healthcare professionals to drive referrals.
* Develop and implement strategies to grow the clinic’s patient base.
* Represent the clinic at networking events, conferences, and industry meetings.
* Act as a key point of contact for patients, ensuring a smooth journey from referral to treatment.
* Educate patients and referrers on available treatments and services.
* Provide a compassionate and professional approach to patient inquiries.
* Marketing & Promotion
* Work closely with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and campaigns targeting referral sources.
* Identify new opportunities to enhance brand awareness within the optical and healthcare community.
* Manage social media engagement and digital outreach in collaboration with the marketing team.
* Operational & Administrative Support
* Monitor referral trends and provide insights to improve patient pathways.
* Assist in coordinating open days, CPD (Continuing Professional Development) events, and other professional education initiatives.
* Maintain accurate records of engagement activities and report on performance.
Key Requirements
* Proven experience in business development, sales, or relationship management within the optical, ophthalmology, or healthcare sector.
* Strong knowledge of optical services, ophthalmology, and patient care pathways.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong professional relationships.
* Self-motivated and target-driven, with the ability to work independently.
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively.
* Experience in marketing, networking, and event coordination is a plus.
