This child-focussed and family-run business owns and operates one Children’s Home in the Halesowen area. They currently boast a “Good” rating with Ofsted but require strong leadership to achieve Outstanding outcomes. The Directors are incredibly hands-on and focussed completely on ensuring the most authentic home-life experience for the two young people, whom are both in full-time education. The Responsible Individual is also very experienced with over 12 years in the industry, achieving a number of “Good”, and even “Outstanding” in all areas Ofsted ratings themselves. The staff team within this recently renovated home are well established, and the majority are qualified. The Deputy Manager has a long tenure within the home and has ambitions to become a Registered Manager themselves in the future. This spacious and well decorated children’s home has some amazing features such as a cinema room, break-out rooms, and a large garden with a trampoline and a barbecue to amplify the upcoming buzzing summer afternoons. The Package & Benefits: Basic Salary: £50,000 p.a, depending on experience and qualifications. Performance Bonuses: Up to £5000 p.a, based on Ofsted and Occupancy. Overall package potential: Up to £55k per annum Paid on-call: £25 on the weekends. Split between RM & DM. Director is very hands-on and will support if needed. As a Children’s Home Registered Manager, you will be the backbone of the home. You will pull from your extensive experience working in children’s homes to manage and lead your passionate team to ensure smooth operation of the home, second-to-none delivery of care for young people, and Ofsted excellence. The Successful Children’s Home Registered Manager Candidate Will Excel At: Running a children’s home to ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ standards, adhering to Ofsted’s Children’s Home Act (2015), Quality Standards, and Safeguarding Procedures Managing a staff team, completing supervisions and appraisals, and ensuring trainings are completed in line with Quality Standards Developing and reviewing Ofsted required paperwork such as care plans, behaviour support plans, risk assessments, and regulated “Reg” reports & attending and engaging in LAC, EHCP, PEP and Pathway Planning meetings and reviews. Communicating effectively with young people, colleagues, families, and external professionals.
