Our client is a local, well-established business located in the South Leeds area, with a parking facility. They require an Assistant Accountant to join their team, to support the Financial Controller.
The successful candidate will have gained accounts experience within a fast-paced SME.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales ledger - allocation of payments by cheque and BACS
2. Raising statements
3. Reconciliation of payments
4. Dealing with queries
5. Credit Control - chasing outstanding payments by phone and email
6. Payroll
7. Purchase Ledger
8. VAT
Typical Qualities Required for the Bookkeeper:
1. Ideally AAT PQ / Qualified or QBE Qualified by experience
2. Strong accounting and/or bookkeeping skills
3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
4. Ability to work with confidence with minimum supervision
5. Positive can-do attitude
6. Experience in a hands-on role in a fast-paced SME
7. Payroll experience is a bonus, though not essential.
