Job responsibilities
The Urgent Community Response Service in Exeter is looking to recruit a Support Worker. If you are interested in a rewarding career looking after and caring for people, we would love to hear from you.
Urgent Community Response is a joint Health and Social Care Service providing support to people in their own homes in times of crisis, to avoid unnecessary admissions to hospital and facilitate discharges home from hospital.
The service provides care over 7 days a week, 365 days a year, with shift patterns covering the hours from 0730 hours until 2200 hours. You will be part of a team providing a quality service promoting independence, dignity, and support.
Previous community experience is desired but not essential. You will join a dynamic multi-disciplinary team, working with Health and Social Care Teams to respond to urgent situations.
Successful candidates will have a Level 3 Diploma / NVQ 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification, or significant equivalent experience of working with older people in a community setting. A driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential as this is a community-based position.
Working Pattern: 37.5 hours a week
