About Our Client

Job Description
1. Preparing an annual income and expenses budget in consultation with the MP/COO
2. Preparing a monthly financial performance report with variances against budget and previous year
3. Preparing ad hoc reports on aspects of the business to support business decisions
4. Preparing regular updated cashflow forecasts
5. Preparing monthly management accounts
6. Assisting the firm's external accountants with the preparation of statutory accounts
7. Assisting with Companies House filings
8. Processing client and office account receipts and payments, in accordance with the SRA Accounts Rules
9. Handling supplier invoices and payments
10. Bank account reconciliations
11. Contributing to accurate and timely closure at each month end
12. Other miscellaneous accounting tasks and processes as required
The Successful Applicant
1. Broad experience of management accounting, financial reporting and other accounts work in a regulated professional services firm
2. Strong Excel skills and familiarity with working in a Microsoft 365 environment
3. Aptitude for adapting to new practice and case management, accounting and other software
4. Team player qualities and a willingness to help and support colleagues and the wider firm
5. An ability to build effective working relationships both internally and externally
6. Integrity, discretion and trustworthiness
