Job Title: Developer Contributions Officer
Location: East London
Salary: £33,822.67 - £40,000 + Benefits and 30 Days Annual Leave (Grade 6)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Developer Contributions Officer to support the management of the Council's CIL (Community Infrastructure Levy) and S106 obligations, ensuring compliance with regulations and effective delivery of infrastructure projects. You will work closely with the team lead to track and collect obligations, prepare portfolio performance reports, and contribute to the successful delivery of housing, jobs, and infrastructure.
In this role, you will supervise junior officers and manage external consultants, ensuring high-quality service delivery. You will also be instrumental in monitoring the progress of key policy goals and contributing to transparent decision-making within tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
·Support the Developer Contributions team in tracking, managing, and reporting on CIL, S106, and S278 obligations, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
·Prepare regular reports on CIL/S106/S278 funding and infrastructure delivery, linking it to development across the Borough and future requirements.
·Oversee the Brownfield, Self-Build Registers, and other statutory requirements, ensuring compliance.
·Assist in the management of high-profile planning applications related to CIL, meeting deadlines and corporate objectives.
·Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant planning legislation, particularly relating to CIL and S106 agreements.
·Foster strong working relationships with key stakeholders, including internal colleagues, external consultants, and the local community.
Essential Experience:
·Educated to degree level, ideally with or working towards a recognised planning qualification.
·At least one year of experience working within the planning or development sector.
·Proficiency in IT, including experience with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint) and data management software (e.g., Tascomi, Exacom).
·Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with stakeholders at all levels.

·Knowledge of local government procedures and planning regulations in the UK.
