DUTIES
- Oversee the running of the bar and restaurant during evening/weekend shifts
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers
- Take customer orders and provide recommendations based on their preferences
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area
- Check identification to ensure customers are of legal drinking age
- Handle cash transactions and process payments accurately
- Monitor customer behavior and intervene as necessary to prevent overconsumption or disturbances
- Restock bar supplies and inventory as needed
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure excellent customer service
- Responsible for closing and locking up the bar/restaurant correctly, opening up and setting up in the mornings.
EXPERIENCE
- Previous experience as a bar person/supervisor or in a similar role is required
- Knowledge of basic math skills for handling cash transactions and calculating drink prices
- Familiarity with bartending techniques, drink recipes, and mixology is a plus
- Understanding of restaurant operations and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks and handle multiple orders simultaneously
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and the ability to handle food items if required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers.

Must be able to work evenings and weekends. Casual staff required also, especially over the Christmas period.
