Our client is seeking an experienced Assembly Technician
During an exciting time for growth and expansion, our client is delighted to share that they currently have an open vacancy for an Assembly Technician working as part of the manufacturing team completing assembly operations as required to scheduled plans to deliver the Company's product range. This role is based in Hastings. This role is a permanent position, working 45 hours per week on a rotational shift covering the hours of 6:00 am - 3:00 pm, 2:00 pm - 11:00 pm, and 10:00 pm - 7:00 am.
What are the main duties of this role?
1. Assembling products and parts using hand tools, machinery, or automated equipment according to our standards.
2. Inspecting parts for defects or damage before assembly to ensure quality standards are met.
3. Carrying out a range of manufacturing, assembly, and packing tasks as instructed.
4. Accurately recording and booking stock.
5. Preparing and packing product ready for distribution to the agreed standard and timeframe.
6. Completing all work to the required standards and within the agreed timeframes.
7. Carrying out administrative duties accurately and within agreed timeframes.
8. Working independently, interpreting work/component assembly information/drawings into work plans.
9. Working collaboratively with your colleagues to achieve the attainment of any business aims and objectives.
What they are looking for:
1. Experience in a similar role in a production environment is beneficial but not essential.
2. Experience of handling different materials, equipment, processes, and machine tools.
3. Previous experience using Windows-based programs along with good IT literacy.
