Salary Range: SCP4 – SCP5 (£23,114.00 - £23,500.00 FTE) pro rata salary £8,278.87 - £8,417.13
Salary amounts quoted are from the 1 September to 31 August and therefore if you commence employment part way through the academic year they are subject to an equated salary adjustment.

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our outstanding academy. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the kitchen staff by assisting with meal preparation, food safety practices, and maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment. The successful candidate will:
* Assist chefs in the preparation of ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, measuring ingredients, and preparing sauces.
* Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout the kitchen.
* Help with the organisation and storage of food items, ensuring proper labelling and rotation.
* Clean kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces to uphold cleanliness standards.
* Support the team during busy service periods by ensuring that all necessary supplies are readily available.
* Participate in inventory management by assisting with stock checks and reporting any shortages.
* Support serving students via a cashless catering system.
Previous experience in a kitchen environment, such as restaurants or catering services, is preferred but not essential. Candidates should have a basic understanding of food safety regulations and be able to work effectively as part of a team while also being able to take initiative when required.
