Job Title: Senior Data Analyst Location: Islington, London Contract: Perm Recruiter: Noaman Hussain About the role We're looking for a Senior Data Analyst to join our analytics team at Boots Online Doctor. You'll lead and deliver a range of analytical projects, providing compelling insights to support our priorities and shape the future of digital healthcare. As a Senior Data Analyst, you will help support the analytics function, reporting directly to the Head of Analytics under the Operations Director. Key Responsibilities: Data Analysis and Modelling: Lead complex data analysis projects to identify trends, opportunities and challenges. Use statistical and predictive modelling techniques to explain and improve business performance. Explore and develop new sources of data, sustainably expanding our data lake to provide ever greater business value. Stakeholder Engagement and Strategy Support Build relationships with senior stakeholders across operations, marketing, infrastructure and engineering, to understand business needs and advocate for data-driven decisions. Support strategic planning by keeping up to date with new tools and trends across the analytics industry. Reporting and Automation: Develop and maintain our suite of dashboards and reports to track KPIs for operations and business growth. Identify opportunities for automation, eliminating manual processes inside and outside our team and preferring a repeatable, code-based approach to manual data wrangling. Data Quality and Integrity: Oversee data validation processes to ensure high quality, reliable datasets for analysis. Collaborate with data engineers to enhance data pipelines and database performance. Mentorship Support the development of junior analysts through mentorship and guidance. Promote a data-driven culture within the business by improving data literacy among non-technical teams. What you’ll need to have These are the essential skills or experience needed to succeed in this role. Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Physics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science). Strong experience in data analytics or data science, ideally within healthcare or online retail focused roles. Experience leading substantial analytical projects, encompassing data collection, modelling and delivery of data products with business impact. Proficiency in SQL and R or Python for data analysis and modelling. Experience with data visualisation tools (e.g. Looker, Power BI, Tableau) Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex findings to senior non-technical stakeholders. A proactive mindset with a keen interest in the digital healthcare industry.
