The Role
We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Applications Engineer to support customers across the Midlands area (UK). This is a field-based position where you’ll be responsible for ensuring successful machine tool integration, customer training, and technical support.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver training to customer personnel on CNC machine tool operation and programming, ensuring safety and competence.
* Lead engineering projects, ensuring delivery to agreed specifications, within budget and on time.
* Log daily tasks and site activities using the company’s Field Service App to maintain clear documentation and traceability.
* Continuously expand your knowledge of the product range and attend necessary training on new machines and control systems.
* Willingness to travel across the UK and Ireland, with overnight stays as required.
Who We’re Looking For
* Essential: Experience with Siemens CNC programming
* Preferred: Familiarity with Heidenhain + Fanuc controls
* Experience with 5-Axis machining centres and multi-tasking turning centres is highly advantageous
* Knowledge of Fusion 360 is a plus
* Time-served engineer with 5+ years’ experience in CNC machine tool applications (turning and milling)
* Holds a recognised engineering qualification or apprenticeship
* Based in the Midlands area
* Strong communication and project management skills
