Our client is looking for an available MEWP Engineer to join their team in the Wallsend area.
The position is for an immediate start and likely to be until 2025 and beyond. Possible permanent opportunities available for the right candidate.
As an MEWP Engineer you will be required to work a 42 hour week Monday to Friday with potential overtime.
The pay rate will be and subject to completing a multi-fuctional training form.
- PAYE Dayshift:
£23.50 per hour - For the first 38 hours worked and approved
£30.55 per hour - In excess of 38 hours worked and approved
£35.25 per hour - Saturday hours worked and approved
£47.00 per hour - Sunday and Bank Holiday hours worked and approved
Our client is resourcing a time served and experienced MEWP engineer to work on their fleet of cherry pickers and scissor lifts.
You will be required to have or similar:
- An NVQ level 2/3 in mechanical engineering/plant maintenance
- Good experience with powered access equipment, particularly cherry pickers and scissor lifts
- Diagnostic and fault-finding experience
- LOLER certification (will be carrying out pre LOLER examinations)
- IPAF certifications
- Ability to work independently
- Relevant certification in mobile powered access maintenance and repair is desirable, particularly if they have CAP (certified access professional)
- Comfortable working at height
- Happy to work with apprentices
Day to day duties will be repairs and maintenance of MEWPs on site, these include diesel and electric cherry pickers and scissor lifts.
