Job summary Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic nurse to join our TB Team at St Richards Hospital. Tuberculosis often affects vulnerable people with complex health and social care needs in collaboration with clinical teams and organisations to improve the quality of care available to TB patients. The post holder will work collaboratively with the Consultant, in the care of TB patients and in preventing the spread of TB. The post holder will work autonomously in managing a TB caseload and will also support the Latent Screening service. You will need to be experienced in assessing client need, be aware of the range of support available and be able to think innovatively to resolve complex social issues amongst a culturally diverse population. Candidates should be able to support patients with empathy, compassion and patience and be excited to provide TB Outreach services to patients and their families/carers. The role involves multi-disciplinary working, case management, improving local procedures, developing joint protocols, working with other agencies and across organisational boundaries, placing significant emphasis on community-based provision. The post is week days only, for 18.75 hours, enabling the successful candidate to pursue their nursing vocation in a speciality area while being able to develop life pursuits outside work in a healthy work life blend.
