As our Lead Product Owner, you will transform Roadside Operations by driving efficiency, accountability, and innovative thinking, with a focus on data. You will lead a team to identify, analyse, and document business requirements, ensuring the success of the Road Ops of the Future programme.
You will define processes and methodologies, working closely with business and IT teams to understand and develop future roadside operation requirements across a clearly defined strategy that including systems, people and assets capabilities. Your role involves engaging with business owners to ensure core requirements are developed and documented and delivering solutions that include regulatory changes, technology future-proofing, and new products.
What will I be doing?
* Inform overall business change sequencing, aligning Business Line plans, portfolios, and dependencies with road operations strategic priorities and risk appetite.
* Shape the business components of the road operations investment portfolio, including business design goals.
* Support business requirements to identify and recommend options to optimise spending across the road operation investment portfolio, ensuring effective investment.
* Develop and maintain a clear operational requirement for the AA through detailed analysis and business understanding, informed by market trends, technological changes, and best practices.
* Drive requirements for the Road Operations change program through the broader transformation team, monitor outcomes and interdependencies, ensure delivery of business outcomes, and manage escalation and resolution processes.
* Deliver regular updates to stakeholders, clearly communicating priorities, trends, risks, opportunities.
* Create, maintain, and communicate an overall roadmap of change within the context of an agreed operational strategy, including future deployment, technical innovation, future vehicle and people capabilities, best practices from other industries, and flexibility across roadside teams.
* Lead and develop the team of product owners to support the delivery of a significant program of change, transitioning the culture with data as a key driver, encouraging inquisitiveness about data usage, and driving continuous improvements.
* Support Operational teams in making investment choices on continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and customer outcomes, leading to sustained cost reductions.
What do I need?
Capability, Knowledge and Experience:
* Proven experience in delivering continuous service improvements for the business.
* Extensive knowledge of analytic techniques, methods, and problem-solving skills.
* Experience with regulatory and audit requirements in an operational environment.
* Experience working with outsource partners and delivering support solutions.
* Extensive understanding of change management and governance in an operational context.
* Strong leadership and influencing capabilities; able to motivate and empower teams to deliver in line with organisational priorities and cultural principles.
* Strong influencer across the organisation, able to achieve results through others without direct authority.
* Decisive with the ability to consult appropriately and communicate decisions clearly.
* Strategic thinker with excellent analytical abilities.
* Experience in large organisations with complex product sets.
* Extensive knowledge of operations and logistics businesses.
