Why is this role important and how does it fit into the team, department and wider firm?
Legal engineers create digital tools, products and services that can improve legal processes, increase efficiency, and reduce costs for clients, while ensuring compliance with legal regulations and ethical standards. They work at the intersection of law and technology, applying their knowledge to develop solutions that can help law firms to better manage their legal operations and client collaboration.
Working as part of a team the legal engineer works closely with legal teams to design, develop and deliver digital solutions using the firm’s low code development platforms (including HighQ, Microsoft Power Platform, and Smartsheet) for the delivery of legal products and services to clients.
You will build strong relationships with clients, lawyers, and support staff. Working across target market groups (TMGs) including health and life sciences, government, education, finance services and insurance, and corporates. The aim being to understand the firm’s strategic goals and objectives and provide advice on how we can use our digital platforms to meet client needs and fulfil business development opportunities.

* Act as a business partner:
o develop strong links with leadership teams to understand business goals and concerns and become their trusted advisor within the data team
o Work with clients to understand their own digital transformation journey and how we can provide value through digital platforms
o Support operational effectiveness of legal services by providing digital solutions
o Input into digital transformation improvement initiatives acting as a representative for your assigned
