Job Description
We are currently recruiting for two Accounts Payable Clerks to join our expanding team in Appleton Thorn. As a key member of the finance team, you will take ownership of data entry for purchase and sales and support with Month End and supplier statement reconciliations.
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 09.00-17.00
Duties:
* Process incoming invoices:
o Inputting details onto the accounts system
o Forwarding to the relevant personnel for authorisation
o Completing within agreed timescales
* Once authorised, invoices to be approved on Chorus for payment
* Check customer account statements to advise on the status of invoices, dealing with queries as required
* Contribute to month/year end processes
* Perform the month-end closing process and reconciliation of the ledger statements
* Maintain excellent working relationships with external suppliers
* Resolve customer payment queries in a timely manner
* Sort and distribute all incoming finance post
* Support the department where necessary with general administrative duties
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have the following skills:
* Previous accounts experience
* Good knowledge of Microsoft systems
* Team-oriented, able to use own initiative, and have a high level of flexibility, commitment, and motivation
* Ability to meet tight deadlines & KPIs
