Early Years Highfield, Whitehouse, Ipswich IP1 6DW/ IP1 5NW Early Years Educator (2 Posts) Position 1: £10,707 per annum, 18 hours per week, 52 weeks per year Position 2: £11,222 per annum (pro rata), 22.5 hours per week, 38 weeks per year Permanent Reference: 0952 Your role: To work as an effective member of the team, providing high quality inclusive play and learning opportunities for all children attending. To work alongside colleagues to provide a safe, welcoming, purposeful, stimulating and encouraging environment both indoors and outdoors. Your responsibilities: To be a keyperson to a group of children, supporting their learning and development. To assist with the planning of activities and the continual enhancement of the learning environment (Quality improvement) To be flexible, responsible and caring at all times To use evidence-based research as part of your practice Working professionally with parents and carers and recognise that parents/carers are the main educators. Have knowledge and understanding of the EYFS themes and commitments, Characteristics of effective learning and Health and safety You will need: Level 3 full and relevant qualification in Early years and Childcare Minimum of 2 years experience in childcare Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage and an understanding of providing high quality childcare and education, incorporating the Early Years Foundation Stage principles.
