Your Role As a Design and Technology Teacher, your responsibilities will include: Planning and delivering engaging lessons that cater to the unique needs of Key Stage 3 students. Creating a safe, structured, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages learning and creativity. Adapting teaching methods to support students' technical skill development and confidence-building. Building trusting, positive relationships with students to mentor and guide their academic and personal progress. Effectively managing classroom behaviour using strategies that motivate and engage students. Collaborating with colleagues to monitor and support students' progress, ensuring each learner reaches their potential. What We’re Looking For The ideal candidate will: Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialization or strong background in Design and Technology. Have experience teaching in alternative provisions or with students requiring additional support (preferred). Demonstrate strong classroom management skills and a positive approach to working with students who exhibit challenging behaviour. Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build meaningful connections with students and colleagues.
