Work Schedule Standard (Mon-Fri) Environmental Conditions Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance, Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards, Cold Room/Freezers -22degrees, Loud Noises (Equipment/Machinery), Standing for full shift, Various outside weather conditions Job Description We are seeking a full-time Warehouse Support Specialist to join our dynamic Operations team in Paisley, and contribute to the optimization of our operations in support of the Pharma Services group at Thermo Fisher Scientific. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse or logistics operations and a strong attention to detail. Working hours: - Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours per week - 8.00 am - 4.00 pm - Overtime opportunities offered. Reports To: Indirectly to Warehouse Support Coordinator, directly to Inventory Supervisor Responsibilities: Stock Management & Replenishment: - Run reports to identify items that need to be moved to fast-pick locations based on picking frequency. - Physically transfer stock to optimize warehouse space and update system records using handheld devices. - Perform stock checks to ensure accuracy, investigate discrepancies, and adjust inventory as required. Inventory Optimization: - Combine types of product (SKU/lots) across multiple locations to free up space and improve organization. - Assist in adjusting stock locations and moving items between systems for customer orders when required. Scrap & HOLD Management: - Process monthly scrap authorization lists by verifying quantities and locations, booking stock for scrapping and physically picking the items for disposal. - Address HOLD notifications from global QA by blocking stock and marking locations as blocked, then reverse the process when the hold is released. Performance Monitoring & Reporting: - Track and compile performance metrics such as order line picking percentages from fast-pick locations. - Provide regular updates to team members to supervise the efficiency of warehouse processes. Departmental Collaboration: - Manage the shared mailbox and respond to inquiries from various departments within the organization. - Collaborate with inbound warehouse teams to ensure smooth operations and address any operational challenges. Required Qualifications: - Experience: A minimum of 2 years' experience in a warehouse or logistics office environment. - Skills: Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Power BI. - Languages: Proficiency in English (written and verbal). Ideal candidate: - Excellent attention to detail and focus on accuracy. - Analytical and problem-solving skills. - Proactive with a strong sense of ownership and accountability. - Adaptable and flexible in a fast-paced environment. - Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team. - Knowledge of ERP systems (desirable but not required). - FLT licence desirable. Education & Certification: - GCSE-level Maths and English or equivalent. Physical Requirements: - Capable of handling materials up to 25 kg, with reasonable adjustments if required.
