The Role: To join a team of well-established carers, to support a young lady who has suffered a spinal cord injury. She is paralysed and requires 24-hour care. She is looking for 1 new member of staff to join her team, 2 days per week. You will be required to cover sickness and holiday cover as and when required. All training will be provided.
Main Duties
• To use a hoist
• To support with moving her manual wheelchair
• To provide personal care, including showering and toileting
• To support with stoma and catheter care
• To prepare meals and drinks
• To support with medication
• To support with keeping her bedroom clean and tidy
• To support with a cough assistant machine and nebuliser

Car owner with driving licence is preferred but not essential.
*This role is a lone working position, and an Enhanced DBS (formerly CRB) is required for all staff undertaking the role*
Hours: Fridays and Saturdays – 8.00am – 6.00pm (flexible to cover sickness and annual leave)
Pay: £12.00 per hour
