Support Worker – Children’s Residential Home (Derby, DE21)
Salary: £23,795.20 - £28,080 per annum
Location: Derby, DE21
Position: Full-time, Permanent
About the Role:
We are seeking passionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our team at a children’s residential home in Derby (DE21). As a Support Worker, you will provide high-quality care and support to children and young people aged 8-18 in a safe and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide day-to-day care, emotional support, and guidance to young residents.
Assist in developing and implementing personalized care plans to meet the individual needs of each young person.
Promote positive behavior and help young people build life skills, independence, and emotional resilience.
Support educational, recreational, and social activities to aid personal growth and development.
Ensure the safety and well-being of young people at all times.
Keep accurate records and collaborate with the team to provide the best care possible.
Build trusting, supportive relationships with young people, helping them reach their goals.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
Experience working with children or young people (experience in a residential care setting is beneficial, but not essential).
A caring, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting young people.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
A commitment to promoting equality and diversity.
Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends.
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards this qualification).

Salary: £23,795.20 - £28,080 per annum.
Increments: Staff completing probation will receive their pay increment in either March or October.
