We are looking for a carer to join our Nursing and Residential care home situated in Bramley, Rotherham. The home has a friendly team that provides premium care for the residents.
Applicants should have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a senior carer, including experience in medication administering, care planning, and liaising with district nursing officers and other social workers/offices.

As a Senior Carer, you will be responsible for:
1. Administering medication to residential service users.
2. Reviewing care plans for residents.
3. Supporting the activities of daily living in a person-centred manner.
4. Promoting physical and personal independence as well as choice in all daily activities.
5. Assisting with toileting needs, including continence promotion.
6. Changing beds, tidying rooms, and doing light cleaning.
7. Helping in the serving of meals and drinks, feeding those individuals who are unable to feed themselves.
8. Promoting and supporting the personal care and independence of customers in the care home, in line with a personal care plan.
Your role may include supervisory responsibilities as part of your regular daily duties.
Applicants shall:
1. Be trained in medication administering and care planning.
2. Be reliable, dependable, and committed to making a difference in our care home.
3. Have at least a relevant S/NVQ level 2 or equivalent qualification in health care and relevant work experience—previous experience in a care home setting for a minimum of 3 years.
4. Have responsibility for front-line supervision and monitoring of care workers and care assistants.
5. Respond to emergencies and provide guidance and support to care workers.
6. Be friendly and patient-oriented.
7. Have excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
8. Have some previous care background, which will be an advantage.
The successful candidate will be required to provide a valid, enhanced Disclosure certificate. Please note that we will acknowledge a transferable DBS certificate (Enhanced) and may allow for an immediate start.
