We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, and inspiring Teacher of Religious Education to join our team in September 2025. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional who is passionate about teaching Religious Education and can contribute to our well-resourced department known for its engaging teaching methods and strong track record of success at GCSE and A Level. This role could start sooner for the right candidate.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Teach Religious Education across the full age and ability range from 11-18 years.
* Engage students with lively debates, outside speakers, and active learning opportunities.
* Lead and participate in educational trips and extracurricular activities.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement and success of the department by implementing innovative teaching practices.
* Collaborate with colleagues within the RE department and across the History and Social Sciences Faculty to enhance teaching pedagogy and student outcomes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
* Proven track record of delivering innovative and engaging Religious Education lessons.
* Ability to inspire a love of learning and foster a positive learning environment.
* Strong organisational and communication skills.
* Experience in leading educational trips and activities.
* Ability to offer a second subject would be highly desirable.
