An exciting position has arisen for a Fleet Compliance Manager to join a high profile, fast moving Logistics Company based in Chard, Somerset.
As a well-established Transport business based in the South West of England, they are now looking for a new member to join their team. You will have responsibility for ensuring vehicle & fleet compliance for up to 40 vehicles at the client s depot based in Chard, Somerset in areas such as fleet administration, driver training and compliance auditing.
You will also play a key role in identifying and implementing a robust process to safeguard the O Licence, whilst encouraging a culture of safety and high performance. Additionally, you will be driving the correct behaviours and as result delivering continuous improvement for the business.
The role:
* Ensuring vehicles are maintained in line with servicing schedules, environmental, Health & Safety requirements and Operators Licence Commitments
* Ensuring a system is in place for the reporting and recording of vehicle defects by drivers and rectifying these
* Collating and filing all vehicle-related documentation, and ensuring all vehicle files and driver infringements are accurate and up-to-date
* Responsible for accident management processes including clear and consistent cost reduction
* Responsible for the Tax, MOT and insuring of the Fleet
* Advice and guidance to operators and managers on fleet compliance issues
* Monitoring and ensuring transport labour costs fall within budget by implementing robust control mechanisms
* Monitoring driver Infringements, OCRS Score and communicating non-compliance to Drivers.
* Managing the Fleet & Compliance Budget and monitoring monthly expenditure
* Completing monthly Fleet KPIs, facilitating quarterly fleet audits, monitoring performance, and addressing issues and creating remedial action plans
* Qualifications:
* Educated to GCSE, O Level or equivalent
* Recognised Fleet vocational qualification such National Certificate of Professional Competence in Road Transport (highly desirable, not essential)
About you:Permanent, Full Time, 45 hours per week. Salary will be negotiated dependent on experience and qualifications + Annual Bonus Scheme
* 3 years experience in a similar Fleet,compliance, transport, engineering, services, construction or other high risk industry
* Knowledge of VOSA / DVSA regulatory requirements regarding O Licences and Fleet management activities in general
* Knowledge of Transport law inc EU drivers hours and WTD, and how UKFleetand transport legislation is developed and implemented
* Ability to work unsupervised and to deliver accurate and factual compliance reports to tight deadlines
* IT Literate, Microsoft Office and confident learning other systems (Tachomaster & Fueltech & Tracking & Camera software)
* Knowledge on Health and Safety at work
* Proven management, people and workload prioritisation skills
* Organised, analytical, structural, independent, tenacious and comfortable in communicating with others
