About the Role

We are part of a large integrated drug and alcohol service working with some of Cornwall's most excluded and disadvantaged people. Successful candidates will work as part of the clinical team, collaborating with in-house services including outreach, hospital, adult community, and criminal justice services.
WithYou aims to support clients in finding the right path to recovery, and you will join a dedicated team committed to making a difference.
This role is suitable for a first-level Registered Nurse or Registered Pharmacist experienced in community healthcare, assessing and supporting patients with healthcare issues.
This is a full-time position (37.5 hours/week) based in Truro.
You will stay updated with developments in treatment and help develop, implement, and evaluate interventions such as harm reduction, support and advice on substance misuse clinics, vaccination, and blood testing programs.
You will also proactively reach out to communities to offer support and education.
We provide an induction, supervision, and CPD opportunities to support your development.
We welcome applications from prescribers with a passion for working with our client group, including those with backgrounds in other specialties, as full training and induction will be provided. To succeed, you should:
* Be a Registered General Nurse, Mental Health Nurse, or Pharmacist (GPhC)
* Have completed the independent prescriber course and be registered accordingly
* Have prescribing experience and CPD evidence
* Experience delivering nursing interventions in community settings
* Experience with healthcare assessments, care planning, and key working
* Collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams and with external agencies
* Have knowledge of substance misuse and its health impacts
