Axcis Education are looking for an experienced class teaching assistant who has had experience supporting pupils of any age or vulnerable adults with special educational needs. We are seeking a class TA to work a long-term supply role at a SEND school in Dawlish with a lively secondary, Year 10, class who have SEMH, MLD, ASD and speech/sensory impairments. The students are following the national curriculum and some are completing GCSE's. Subject knowledge is desirable. The pupils need support retaining focus, being inspired to reach their goals and someone with a humorous attitude to match the teenagers' energy. The role is to start ASAP. If you show initiative, good communication and behaviour management, there may be a longer-term opportunity.
The school is a big SEND school catering for pupils from 3 – 19 years. They have wonderful grounds including a little forest school for the primary learners, a big forest school for the upper division, as well as a hydro-pool, sports centre, extensive playground, sensory rooms, and Fun Floors! They also have a therapy dog onsite along with chickens in the garden area. To top it off, the view of the seaside town from the premises is amazing too!

We offer a competitive rate of pay, paying weekly, every Friday with your choice of payment provider – either Umbrella or PAYE. The daily rate for an experienced TA starts from £84 - £95.
