Job Duties:
1. Plan, prepare and deliver engaging mathematics lessons to students.
2. Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation.
3. Assess student progress and provide feedback to help them improve their mathematical skills.
4. Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies.
5. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades and performance.
6. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress.
Required Qualifications:
A recognised teaching qualification in Mathematics.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
Enhanced DBS check.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or a related field.
Experience:
Proven experience teaching Mathematics at the secondary school level.
Knowledge and Skills:
Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum for Mathematics.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
Effective classroom management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Postgraduate qualification in Education.
Experience teaching mathematics to GCSE and A-level students.
Working Conditions:
The Maths Teacher will work in a school setting following the school term calendar.
May require attendance at staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and other school events outside of regular hours.
