Research Assistant\n\nPosition Type\n\n Permanent & Temporary\n\nSame shifts as lab technicians (7am to 3pm or 3pm to 11pm).\nShifts between 7am to 11pm for perm. \nWill work 5 days out of 7 in a week (will include weekends sometimes - need to be flexible).\nTemp will be 8am to 5pm.Main Responsibilities\n\nPerforming sample processing and analysis in accordance with project and quality documentation.\nPerform lab maintenance tasks and cleaning.\nAssist in maintaining sample integrity by following sample storage procedures. \nFollow all the applicable Policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Study documentation and GCP and any other applicable guidelines.\nWork as a member of a team.\nResponsible for organising own time and resources in an optimal fashion, with some guidance.\nProactively review the schedule and ensure that all assigned tasks are completed, flagging any issues to the Laboratory Operations Manager.
\nResponsible for the delivery of GCP compliant study data for the samples being processed or assayed.\nAssist with storage and tracking of samples, develop an understanding of HTA legislation.\nAssist with production of sample kits and sample label production\nSupport senior members of staff in the planning and delivery of clinical studies.Skills & Experiences\n\n1st Degree in relevant scientific subject (2:1 or above preferable) or equivalent\nRT-qPCR or Cell-based assay experience\nTissue culture experience \nPrevious experience working to GCP standards and MHRA standards in a clinical trial environment\nExperience working within a CRO or pharmaceutical company\nExperience working within a virology or biomedical lab \n\nCarbon60, Lorien & SRG - The Impellam Group STEM Portfolio are acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy
