My son is 19, but his interests and humour often make him seem like he's "19 going on 60." While he has no understanding of how some aspects of the community work, he’s full of curiosity, especially when it comes to things he enjoys. He learns a lot from YouTube, loves tinkering with technology, and takes great pride in his two large tropical fish tanks, home to around 40 fish. He has a great memory for what he loves, though he might forget the rest of the day’s events Location: NR 13 Job Description: Accompany on outings, help him meet people, and assist him in navigating social situations. Provide help with reading and writing while out and about. Engage with him in his love of technology and tropical fish—bonus points if you share similar interests Provide companionship and support during outings. Ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for my son. Offering companionship and emotional support to enhance my general wellbeing. Any other reasonable duties as requested. Person specification Essential: Full UK driving license holder with appropriate business insurance cover. The ideal candidate would require a calming, reassuring, Caring and Patience The person I employ, must have an understanding of the need for confidentiality in all areas of work including total respect for my privacy. Fluency in English A non-smoking environment is essential. Desirable: Previous experience in a similar role is preferred. Flexibility in working hours to accommodate the individual's needs. While not essential, having similar interests would be a bonus, as this could be a great way to connect. Summary terms and conditions The rate of pay for this position is £11.68 per hour.
