Our client, a purely ambulatory independent practice located in the heart of the East Midlands, is searching for a new or recent graduate to join their team. They are also happy to receive applications from more experienced candidates. Nestled in the beautiful Vale of Belvoir and within easy reach of Nottingham City Centre, the practice is also conveniently close to the Peak District for those who love hiking.
Your role will be varied, featuring an interesting caseload without the hassle of inpatients. You will cover a range of clients from Olympic and international level sport horse yards to leisure and companion ponies, racing yards, and some of the best hunting country in the UK.
You will join a dedicated and friendly team, which includes an Internal Medicine Certificate holder and another vet working towards their certificate. The office staff is committed to supporting you at the level you require, with regular breakfast meetings for case discussions and in-house training. Our client has successfully supported several new graduates in the past, four of whom are still at the practice. You will find a highly supportive environment equipped with state-of-the-art mobile diagnostic equipment, allowing you to develop your skills.
Each vet is provided with a fully equipped vehicle, including an ultrasound machine. Additionally, the practice offers a choice of five wireless digital radiography machines, three endoscopes, and a gastroscope for use on the road. You will have full clinical freedom to work up cases entirely in the field, with backup from other vets as needed. Well-behaved dogs are also welcome!

The Rota:
• Full time role - 5 day week (8.30am - 6pm)
• Weekday OOH shifts (6:30pm - 8am)
• 1:6/7 OOH rota with a day off in lieu for every weekend or bank holiday worked
