As the Portfolio Director, you will be responsible for defining the strategy and building market presence, working particularly closely with US colleagues, utilising existing IP and industry partnerships in order to provide an innovative and disruptive offering. You will be accountable for managing a sizeable section of the division P&L and developing strategies to meet and exceed the annual operating plan. You will require significant business experience and demonstrate the vision and energy to shape and influence a market leading, differentiated and innovative business. Your background will be underpinned by a track record of significant delivery in a highly disciplined environment. Duties & Responsibilities: As the Portfolio Director, you will be responsible to grow and continue to develop the account strategy and be a key contributor to the Division strategy. Working in partnership with the Business Development function, you will actively shape the pipeline for future growth with a focus on technology and service delivery. While ensuring flawless delivery of existing programs, maintain the right balance and operational capability to meet current and future requirements for both programme performance and new business capture. • Implement the strategy for the Leidos UK business, based around the core capabilities of technology. • Build strategic capability in order to win and execute major programs, leading a leadership team and building succession to ensure the longevity of the business. • Build and maintain a significant network of contacts at a leadership and decision-making level. • Identify and deliver significant program wins within the sector and client network. • Ensure flawless programme execution of existing contracts for all programmes. • Co-ordination with all operational functions to support programme execution and business development. About You: • A strong operational pedigree, with a solid understanding of the key financial levers and drivers. Highly organised, with an eye for detail and adept at performance management. • Achieve target utilisation across the business areas. • Meet all requirements within the functional plans including reviews of how efficiencies and alignment across Leidos UK can be met. • Capable of working in a complex, dynamic, international environment, with the ability to build trusted relationships. • Share your ability to develop a coherent account strategy, addressing both short-term requirements and longer-term opportunities. • Meet or exceed all financial growth objectives for the portfolio, consistent with the Annual Operating Plan. • Meet or exceed all programme performance measures and meet targeted growth on existing contracts. • Demonstrate personal impact to engage effectively at all levels including the C -Suite, and with the emotional intelligence & people skills to work with colleagues from a range of backgrounds & cultures. • Be able to shape pipeline of addressable opportunities and put in place appropriate strategic staffing to address. • Skilled at coaching, mentoring and developing others. • Significant energy, drive, tenacity and determination. • Commitment to Diversity.
