Solid fuel heating engineer

Job Purpose
We are seeking a skilled and qualified Solid Fuel Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, servicing, and repair of solid fuel appliances, including wood-burning stoves, biomass boilers, and open fires. You will ensure all work complies with industry standards and health and safety regulations while delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and repair solid fuel heating systems, including wood-burning stoves, open fires, biomass boilers, and chimneys.
Conduct inspections and safety checks on solid fuel appliances.
Diagnose and resolve faults in solid fuel heating systems.
Provide guidance and advice to customers on the safe and efficient use of solid fuel appliances.
Ensure compliance with HETAS regulations and other industry standards. Perform flue and chimney sweeps, as necessary.
Maintain accurate records of work completed and submit reports as required.
Work independently or as part of a team to complete installations and repairs.
