This school is seeking a dedicated SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with special educational needs on a one-to-one basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in a child’s learning and development within a supportive and inclusive school environment. This role begins April 2025.
Duties as a SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant:
* Provide tailored 1:1 support to a pupil with SEN, ensuring they have access to the curriculum.
* Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and work closely with the class teacher and SENCO.
* Support the pupil’s social, emotional and behavioural needs.
* Use appropriate strategies and resources to enhance learning and engagement.
* Monitor progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents/carers.
Ideal SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant:
* Experience working with children with SEN, particularly on a 1:1 basis.
* A patient, compassionate, and adaptable approach.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* A Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential).
* Knowledge of strategies to support children with specific needs, e.g., autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties.
