We’re looking for more Sessional Trainers to support our ever-expanding training programme!
Survivor Space Oxfordshire offers training to education providers, businesses and the charity sector, tailoring bespoke sessions to meet their needs. Our specialist training is designed to empower and educate clients on consent, reporting, and the numerous aspects of sexual violence.
Our training gives participants the resources and skills required to:
1. support survivors of sexual violence
2. create a safer working environment for everyone
3. contribute to ending sexual violence

Job location (usual place of work): Online and in-person, within Oxfordshire
Pay Rate: £13 – £27.50 per hour (dependent on activity)

Key Responsibilities:
1. Designing and delivering training
2. Teaching and assessing qualifications offered by Survivor Space
3. Assessing and verifying accredited courses
4. Working supportively alongside training volunteers
5. Attending some internal meetings at Survivor Space as required
6. Delivering and participating in promotional talks and events to promote Survivor Space training and service provision
7. Contributing to the quality assurance of Survivor Space training
8. Liaising with clients, staff, volunteers and service users to develop teaching materials
9. Carrying out any other duties as may be required by Survivor Space within the remit of the role and agreed hours of work
Person specification:
Qualifications
Essential:
• A recognised teaching or training qualification, or be committed to working towards one
Desirable:
• Assessor and verifier qualifications
• Social Care, Counselling, ISVA or other relevant qualification
Experience
Essential:
• Experience of teaching or delivering training programmes
• Proven record of designing high quality training programmes or courses
• Experience of working in the field of supporting survivors of sexual violence
Desirable:
• Experience of assessing qualifications
Knowledge and Skills
Essential:
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficient in I.T. systems e.g. PowerPoint, Excel etc.
• Ability to design and deliver training courses
• Ability to assess qualifications
Desirable:
• A good knowledge of counselling theory and practice and ISVA work
