Overview
The role of a Door Supervisor is crucial in maintaining the safety and security of premises, ensuring a welcoming environment for patrons while preventing any potential disturbances. As a Door Supervisor, you will be responsible for monitoring entry and exit points, managing crowd control, and upholding the establishment's policies. This position requires a vigilant individual with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to respond effectively to various situations.
Duties
1. Monitor and control access to the venue, ensuring that only authorised individuals enter.
2. Implement loss prevention strategies to minimise theft and damage to property.
3. Maintain a visible presence at entry points to promote safety and security among patrons.
4. Respond promptly to incidents, providing first aid assistance when necessary and liaising with emergency services if required.
5. Enforce venue policies and regulations, addressing any breaches in a professional manner.
6. Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a cohesive approach to security management.
Skills
1. Proficient in surveillance techniques and loss prevention strategies.
2. Certification in first aid is required.
3. Strong observational skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
4. Excellent communication skills, capable of interacting positively with patrons and staff alike.
5. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and professionalism at all times.
