Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Production Planner to join our team in Telford. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining an achievable manufacturing plan, using the MRP system (123 Insight), to meet customer demands. Your primary focus will be on preparing and managing Master Production Schedules (MPS) to ensure timely and efficient production, optimising productivity, and delivering high customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop, manage, and maintain the production plan using the MRP system (123 Insight) to meet customer orders and sales targets.
* Prepare Master Production Schedules (MPS) to ensure production plans align with available resources and capacity.
* Collaborate with production, sales, and operations teams to ensure the plan is understood and followed.
* Monitor production schedules to ensure on-time delivery and high-quality standards.
* Adjust production schedules as necessary to respond to changing customer needs or production constraints.
* Ensure that the production plan aligns with monthly sales budgets and business expectations.
* Analyse and report on production performance, identifying areas for improvement.
* Communicate effectively with key stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination between departments.
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Previous experience as a Production Planner or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
* Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP systems (experience with 123 Insight is a plus).
* Excellent organisational and time management skills, with a keen attention to detail.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
* Strong communication skills, able to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
* A proactive approach to improving processes and driving efficiencies.
