Succession Wealth is one of the UK's leading Financial Advisory firms with a network of Wealth Planners across the UK providing high quality financial advice to a wide range of clients.
Due to a business-wide initiative to improve how our various systems operate and integrate with each other, we have a requirement for a Data and Systems Architect. The role will involve supporting the CTO in ensuring the best fit architectural choices are made and documented and working closely with the IT team and Operational Management teams to design and implement the architecture of multiple and diverse systems and platforms.
The scope of work will include:
1. Designing and implementing an enterprise-wide data architecture that aligns with business needs and objectives.
2. Developing and maintaining data models to ensure data integrity, security, and optimal performance.
3. Designing, building and integrating data pipelines for efficient data movement and transformation.
4. Selecting, configuring and implementing data management and storage solutions (data warehouses, data lakes).
5. Designing and implementing IT systems architecture, including hardware, software, networks, and security.
6. Collaborating with stakeholders across the organization to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
7. Developing and implementing data governance strategies to ensure data quality, compliance, and security.
8. Documenting technical designs, processes, and procedures.
Experience and skills required:
1. Proven experience in data architecture, systems design and designing and implementing data models.
2. Experience with data warehousing, data lakes, and data governance methodologies.
3. Strong understanding of data security principles and best practices.
4. Experience with SQL and other data querying languages.
5. Experience with IT infrastructure components (hardware, software, networks).
6. Experience gained within Financial services, ideally wealth management.
7. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
