Job Description:
Protocol Education are looking to recruit a Learning Support Assistant with a creative background to support in a SEND school in Cambridge. This role is designed to allow for a sense of creativity in the classroom which can help inspire and encourage SEND students.
The children you will be supporting have a variety of special needs, including ASD, Social, Emotional, Mental Health needs (SEMH), complex learning disabilities, or may need behavioral support.
You will be required to aid in the daily activities of the classroom and use your creative background to uniquely support the SEND children. You will provide 1:1 support and create a positive atmosphere. A friendly and positive approach to teaching and learning, as well as the ability to quickly build strong relationships and rapport with individual children, is important.
The ideal candidate will have:
* Experience working with SEND or children.
* Strong interpersonal skills.
* A passion for education and creating an environment in which the students can improve their studies.
* The ability to use your creative nature to engage students, improve confidence, and positively influence a fun and supportive learning process.
Your experience does not necessarily need to be in a school environment, but could include working or volunteering in youth groups, sports coaching, or after-school clubs.
If you have a real passion for supporting children with special needs and think this role sounds right for you, please apply!
All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see the FAQs on the Protocol Education website for further details.
