Main duties of the job
The John Radcliffe and West Wing theatre suite provides expertise and excellence in elective and emergency surgery including adult and care of the child. This includes Vascular, General surgery, Emergency surgery, Trauma, Spines, ENT, Ophthalmology, Plastics, Neuro, Paediatric Orthopaedic /General surgery. The operating theatres offer a wide range of general and specialist clinical services with links to the Oxford Universities for education, training, and research. The John Radcliffe represents a dynamic center on which to build upon clinical experience and professional development.
We have educational opportunities to support your development and career progression embedded into or comprehensive Education Strategy. This initially includes Band competencies, support from your Deputy Matron, Band colleagues and the Education team. Once established there are further opportunities to develop your career through academic courses, shadowing senior staff and involvement in cross divisional projects.
This is a full-time post, which includes a commitment to day, weekend, bank holiday working and on-call participation.
