What you’ll be doing As ROV Tooling Technician, you will be based at our Kintore facility working as part of a team to test, maintain, prepare and commission new ROV Tooling equipment for rental, sale & projects. Day to day you’ll also be involved in: Inspecting, testing, repairing, and preparing ROV Tooling for hire Ensuring hire equipment is labelled and identified correctly Fault reporting any missing/damaged equipment Providing technical support to customers Attending mobilisations and site interface testing Supporting ROV Tooling in offshore locations on an ad hoc basis Maintaining the stock control system used for spares and consumables What experience you’ll bring A pro-active, positive attitude and eagerness to get stuck in will ensure success in this role. Some other things that will help you to be successful in this role? Previous experience as an ROV Tooling Technician OR experience in a mechanical discipline such as: Heating & Plumbing Engineer Hydraulic Technicians Gas Engineers Car Mechanic Heavy Plant Mechanic Marine or Agricultural technician/engineer You have a solid understanding of hydraulics & electrics, and an ability to read schematics, including fault finding Who we are: Established in 1985, Ashtead Technology is a leading provider of subsea equipment rental solutions, advanced underwater technologies, and support services to the global offshore energy sector.
