Job Summary
The Wider Teams and Programmes of the Health Protection Team is pleased to be offering an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our team based at Capital Quarter 2, Cardiff. A blended approach to working, from home and the office is still currently being offered. We are looking for a highly motivated and reliable Personal Assistant/Senior Administration Officer.
The post holder will work as part of the wider administrative team to deliver key functions, which includes providing substantive support to a range of stakeholders (both internal and external). The wider administration team supports various established programmes within the Health Protection Division and the post holder will provide support to a designated programme(s), although ad-hoc cross-cover to other functions may be required at times.
This postholder will work within the Vaccine Preventable Disease Programme (VPDP), providing PA support to the Head of VPDP/Deputy Director of Health Protection.
Main Duties of the Job
To be considered for this role you will have proven experience of providing PA support or equivalent and be able to demonstrate attention to detail and be competent in diary management and in taking minutes, which is a key part of the role. You will also have excellent personal and interpersonal skills (both verbal and written) and be able to engage with stakeholders at all levels across Wales. You will have the ability to efficiently manage time and competing priorities and report, address and escalate issues in a timely and effective manner.
We are looking for an individual with good communication skills, with an ability to work flexibly and respond to changing work priorities in a fast-paced environment. Excellent IT skills, including the use of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, e-mail systems, and other internal databases and reporting systems is essential.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
