Consumer Flexibles manufactures printed and laminated flexible film, bags and pouches, predominantly for the food sector including markets such as snacks, dried fruits and nuts, cereals, pet food etc. The UK Consumer sites are based in Bromborough, Worcester, Winford and Flint. Reporting to the Sales Director, the Customer Service Manager will lead the transformation of the department, mentoring and coaching the internal sales and customer services team of 13, through 3 Sales Office Managers, to maintain and enhance customer relationships, whilst ensuring the effective management of the sales process from order to supply. Key to the Customer Service Managers success will be the ability to build relationships at all levels to deliver a highly efficient and effective internal sales and customer support function. Key objectives will include: Leading, mentoring and developing the team, creating a proactive team which takes ownership of the sales process and provides exceptional customer support, ensuring sales targets are achieved. Supporting individuals through structured development plans and robust performance management processes to recognize and develop future talent. Leading the team in the maximization of added value activity, in relation to service, sales and internal support. Understanding key markets and looking for opportunities to grow the existing business portfolio. Ensuring effective management of inter-company sales. Agreeing and managing sales campaigns in line with business growth objectives. Reviewing analytical data to identify concern areas and implement effective improvement measures. Handling complex and escalated customer service issues. Candidates must have experience of working in a senior Internal Sales Management or Customer Service Management role, in a commercially driven manufacturing environment, and be able to demonstrate proven success in delivering and exceeding customer service and related sales targets. This experience will also include inspiring, guiding, mentoring and motivating an internal sales/customer service team to create a collaborative and proactive function. With strong IT skills and attention to detail, you will be able to communicate and develop relationships at all levels, with the initiative to keep up to date with the latest industry and market trends to further improve your market knowledge and in turn deliver sales growth.
