Pathway Team Lead - Physiotherapy
We are seeking an experienced Pathway Team Lead to join our leadership team within Tyneside Integrated Musculoskeletal Service (TIMS).
TIMS is a collaborative service between Gateshead Foundation Trust and Newcastle Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, aiming to empower the people of Newcastle and Gateshead to optimize their health and wellbeing through seamless, high-quality, person-centered msk and pain services.
The successful candidate will develop their leadership skills in a forward-thinking dynamic service integrated across primary and secondary care services in Gateshead and Newcastle.
Main Duties:
1. Provide day-to-day management of the Lower Limb pathway team in TIMS, ensuring a high standard of physiotherapy care.
2. Lead the clinical pathway team delivering high-quality services to patients referred to TIMS with Lower Limb conditions.
3. Carry a clinical caseload of complex patients using advanced diagnostic and treatment planning skills.
4. Responsible for own continued professional development and to develop a learning culture within the team.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Manage and oversee the delivery of high-quality physiotherapy services to patients referred to TIMS.
2. Provide expert guidance and support to team members, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
3. Develop and maintain relationships with multidisciplinary teams, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective service delivery.
Person Specification:
Knowledge:
1. Specialist knowledge of musculoskeletal conditions and their impact on patient functional abilities.
Skills:
1. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teaching skills.
2. Strong organization, time management, problem-solving, and prioritization skills.
3. Ability to manage a team, reflect on practice, and critically appraise own performance.
Experience:
1. Significant clinical experience at a senior level across various musculoskeletal conditions.
2. Proven experience in supervising and managing teams.
Qualifications:
1. Degree or equivalent qualification in Physiotherapy.
2. State Registered with Health and Care Professions Council.
3. Evidence of ongoing CPD and relevant post-graduate courses.
