We are currently seeking a dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant to join the passionate team at a dynamic primary school that is in Bedford.
As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will be instrumental in supporting the early years team to create a stimulating and safe atmosphere for the children. You will collaborate closely with the Lead Teacher to deliver high-quality learning experiences tailored to the individual needs of the children.
Responsibilities:
Assist in planning and delivering engaging early years activities that promote learning and development.
Support children's social, emotional, and educational growth.
Foster a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment.
Monitor and assess children's progress, providing feedback to the Lead Teacher.
Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
Maintain a safe and organized classroom, ensuring resources are easily accessible.
Prepare learning materials and resources.
Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
Uphold school policies and procedures, including safeguarding and health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
Relevant qualification in Early Years Education (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, NVQ Level 2/3, or equivalent).
Previous experience working with children in an early years setting is desirable.
Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A positive attitude and a passion for supporting young learners.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of children and the school.
