Job Description Planning & Control Manager Full Time Derby An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Planning & Control individual to fill the position of Planning and Control Manager, reporting directly to the Senior Planning & Control Manager in Derby. It is a fantastic opportunity to integrate with a factory as a key member of the Team of 4 for the business and be exposed to new engine build for Civil Large Engines. What you will be doing: In the Planning & Control Manager role, you will have an opportunity to drive an integrated Planning & Control functional plan for the Business Unit, leading all Planning & Control activities across the product lifecycle for the business including demand cascade, inventory planning, resource planning; rates through gates, work in progress and delivery control; understanding lead time and losses and driving improvement to deliver for our customers. You will ensure demand and capacity balance across the Business to ensure customer on time delivery with optimal inventory and drive the business delivery plans and governance to ensure launch & output plans are robust and met. Lead the business process on confirming launch/WIP control, rates through gates, enablers/risks contributing to the Weekly Operations Review. Within the S&OP process you will consider short term (output robustness / brick adherence plans), medium term (monthly/quarterly performance) and long term (strategic growth, NPI and rate increase). Preparation, interpretation and scenario modelling of the relevant business S&OP plan for evaluation by the PTF leadership team Manage the inventory planning and control process across the business, ensuring business area WIP and inventory are managed to budget. Develop, coach and lead the Planning & Control team members ensuring positive engagement, improvement and professional delivery of responsibilities. Active member of team of 4 leadership for the business, voice of the customer and conscience of the business in terms of decision making, integrating across the 4 Large Engine businesses to deliver the best outcome for our customers. Working together with the customer team to support information sharing and working together with Airbus and Boeing through regular governance with on site teams.
